Are you interested in supporting the growing of local food?
Would you like to get involved with community gardening and in improving Kilbarchan?
Do you have gardening skills you would like to pass onto others?
Would you like to learn more about how to grow your own food?
If the answer is YES to any of the above, why don’t you join Grow Kilbarchan?
Grow Kilbarchan aim to facilitate information sharing between experienced and novice gardeners, encourage community growing projects and support food sustainability by holding plant and seed swap events.
Their launch event was a very successful plant and seed swap in 2013. Since then they have planted fruit trees at various parts of the Kilbarchan, held orchard training and raised bed building workshops and are setting up a community growing space.
They meet regularly at the “Old Library Centre“, Kilbarchan, or in their community growing space behind The Trust Inn.
All with an interest in gardening, whether to share skills or pick up new ones, are welcome (even if you aren’t from Kilbarchan!) To keep up to date with their latest projects and events, “LIKE” Grow Kilbarchan on Facebook – www.facebook.com/GrowKilbarchan
