Adapt and Re-Fashion with Niki Taylor (The Top Project)
11:00-12:30 or 13:00 – 14:00
Bring along a garment that you would like to change, whether it’s the size or fashion. Niki will guide you through setting up and using a sewing machine before moving on to adapting the garment you bring
Natural Dyes & Shibori Workshop with Kathy Beckett (Colour Ecology)
11:00 – 12:30 or 13:00 – 15:30
Bring along a garment made from natural fibers and reinvigorate it for further wear or even to give as a gift. A pale or undyed garment will achieve the best results and 100% wool, silk, cotton or linen will work too but the results may be a little less vibrant!
Kathy will guide you through the use of natural dyes to achieve beautiful shibori patterns and a wide range of colours from just a few dye plants.
Textile Printing Workshop with Gillian Steel (LEAP)
11:00-12:30 or 13:00-15:30
Using silk screens you will print on lengths of re-claimed curtains and other fabrics from charity shops to make a tote bag either for yourself or to give as a gift! We will provide fabrics for this workshop.
