The Autumn equinox approaching signals the return of longer nights and lower temperatures. With the ever increasing costs of home heating and electricity is your home winter ready?
LEAP Home Energy Checks and advice have saved local households up to 13% on their utility bills through simple inexpensive actions. Our City and Guilds Qualified Energy Advisors, familiar face Alan Vince and new recruit Laurie Duncan (both pictured), can carry out your FREE Home Energy Check and provide you with Your Home Action Plan tailored to your home and circumstances. It will only take an hour and can improve the comfort of your home and save you money.
At the current time Renfrewshire householders are also being offered free home insulation under the Universal Home Insulation Scheme. Householders and private rented sector tenants in homes that are suitable can have cavity wall and loft insulation installed free of charge regardless of household income. The available funds are limited, are allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis and are only accessed through the Energy Saving Scotland advice centre (ESSac). Please be wary of doorstep callers offering to fit this free insulation at a cost (see separate article in Chatterbox). LEAP is working closely with ESSac to assist local residents in accessing this free offer.
