On Sunday April 24th (Fashion Revolution Day), COMMON THREADS will be showing THE TRUE COST film, which looks at the fast-fashion industry and the exploitation of the people who make our clothes. We’ll be raising money for survivors of the Rana Plaza building collapse in Bangladesh and all proceeds will go directly towards providing care, prosthetics and rehabilitation.
You can get tickets in person at Paisley Arts Centre, or reserve them for free by calling 0300-300-1210.
Common Threads is set to explore the links between Paisley’s past and today’s fast fashion industry in a world where profit rules. From the Paisley Pattern to shopping malls full of cheap clothes, we’ll be looking at what connects us with people around the world and how we can learn from our past to create a better future.
