Magpie Maison

Magpie Maison is a small craft & design company based in Glasgow, run by Suzanne Smith. Deja vu Designs

Come and meet Joan at our event; Joan is a Bachelor of Arts, multi media artist/designer who works in many mediums including film and photography. She began making my initial jewellery collections in 2013, when she decided to do something creative with her grandparent’s vintage maps and musical scores. Brooches seemed like a good use of their parchments as her grandmother had a brooch on every coat and often wore some of them on her hats. The brooches started out as quirky gifts for friends and family which got so much positive attention that she decided to found Deja vu Designs and make more mixed media creations using recycled materials. Joan attend fairs and events around Scotland and various retail outlets stock them. Each one has a little piece of Scotland incorporated. The vintage parchments used in these creations are all original and never photocopied or reproduced, making each one unique!

I think Doffidatt is a better name for Daffodils anyway." When completing a piece Deborah stamps it with a Daffodil. Creating beautiful bespoke furniture is a real passion for her .

Colette's Cairn

Farmhouse Stamped Books and Scrabble Tile Coasters made to order and fully personalised.

Rags To Bags

Rags to Bags started at the end of lockdown.  After seeing how wasteful the fashion industry is Lesley felt something needs to change. She had her Mum’s old basic sewing machine and a few pairs of old jeans. Feeling her mental health wasn't too good at the time she started to cut the jeans and tread the machine which she hadn't done for years. Before she knew it Lesley had made a bag and that was when Rags to Bags was born. Everything apart from the metal wear is stuff that would otherwise end up in landfill fill.

ALBA Seaglass and Pebble Jewellery

Lena only began her small business in March of this year. Her daughter suggested she did something with her collection of local sea glass and pebbles...well she did. Lena now transforms Sea glass and pebbles into unique eye-catching jewellery  and bridal head pieces.

Belinda makes reusable alternatives to lots of common single-use plastic and paper products for you, your home and family. Reusables are made with fabric, and work just as well as single-use items. They can be cleaned and re-used many times until the end of their useful life, when they can be composted or recycled. Belinda also make beeswax food wraps, ‘wet’ wipes, face wipes, absorbent kitchen towels, shower and kitchen sponges, cutlery pouches, produce bags, cloth menstrual pads, wet bags, tote bags, scrunchies, weighted eye masks…and much more.

Her products are lovingly handmade in Glasgow, using natural and sustainable materials. She also work with surplus fabrics to prevent them going to landfill, and we save and use every little scrap of fabric so nothing is wasted.
