Deja vu Designs
Come and meet Joan at our event; Joan is a Bachelor of Arts, multi media artist/designer who works in many mediums including film and photography. She began making my initial jewellery collections in 2013, when she decided to do something creative with her grandparent’s vintage maps and musical scores. Brooches seemed like a good use of their parchments as her grandmother had a brooch on every coat and often wore some of them on her hats. The brooches started out as quirky gifts for friends and family which got so much positive attention that she decided to found Deja vu Designs and make more mixed media creations using recycled materials. Joan attend fairs and events around Scotland and various retail outlets stock them. Each one has a little piece of Scotland incorporated. The vintage parchments used in these creations are all original and never photocopied or reproduced, making each one unique!

Rags To Bags
Rags to Bags started at the end of lockdown.  After seeing how wasteful the fashion industry is Lesley felt something needs to change. She had her Mum’s old basic sewing machine and a few pairs of old jeans. Feeling her mental health wasn't too good at the time she started to cut the jeans and tread the machine which she hadn't done for years. Before she knew it Lesley had made a bag and that was when Rags to Bags was born. Everything apart from the metal wear is stuff that would otherwise end up in landfill fill.
