Lochwinnoch School of Rock, with archie

Participants should have some basic experience of playing their instruments or singing.

Please bring along your instruments. If you have an amp, please bring that along, if possible.

The workshop will run for 2 consecutive mornings (9:30-12) where we will learn and practice a full song as a band and perform it on the final day for an invited audience.

Teaching in Piano / Guitar / Singing / Bass Guitar / Percussion will be provided - perfect for anyone wanting to get into playing an instrument!

Your band leader:

'archie' is a musical artist and multi-instrumentalist from Lochwinnoch, specialising in pop, jazz and drum and bass. He trained in classical piano, voice and composition at National Music School (Douglas Academy) and the Royal Conservatoire (Juniors) where he also studied jazz. He plays a range of instruments from piano, clarsach and all types of guitar to violin & drums and has sung for the RSNO chorus, NYCOS and RCS Chamber Choir. Now 19, he supports himself as a full-time musician, through teaching (piano/guitar/voice), gigging and writing/producing music for others. He played a sell-out headline gig at King Tut’s in August ’22, closed out live with DJ Goddard at London’s sell-out Tobacco Docks Drum & Bass Festival, and was recently featured artist of the week on BBC Radio Scotland and recently performed his music live on CBBC’s Saturday Mash-Up. He has a weekend residency (on-going) at Wunderbar in Glasgow City Centre and performs across Scotland and the UK. Having written and sung the platinum-selling Nicotine for DJ Goddard at age 16, he started releasing his own music in summer 2022 with a series of singles and his first EP in November ’22. He currently has over 9 million streams on Spotify and Apple Music, over 520K followers on TikTok, with over 200 million views.
