Samba drumming taster session for a room full of people to play percussion as one with teachers from our own local samba band - Bloco Winnoch.

About the event
You and your child(ren) will take part in a samba bateria or drumming group of the type that comes together in the Brazilian carnival. You will try several instruments and play together as a massive carnival band. By watching the director's signals and listening to the whistle the band will learn how to weave together a complex samba rhythm that will be heard in the hills above Howwood!
We will also make our own shakers to train with and practice with when you get home - you will need a cylindrical Pringles type tube each. Other potato-moosh concave snacks are available.
Ear protection mandatory and foam plugs are provided, however if you have ear defenders - bring them. We'll provide all the instruments. £5 per person. Register here to book a space.
