About the event

Diggin' It is excited to be hosting an introductory course to Permaculture with Lusi Alderslowe on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th February in Lochwinnoch. Permaculture is a holistic design system for sustainable living, creating systems for minimum effort and maximum effect. The introduction gives the basic grounding in what permaculture is and how it can be applied. Sessions will be a mixture of indoor and outdoor activities, normally the first afternoon is spent doing observations and the second afternoon is a practical activity, such as composting or building a bed.

Topics:

  • What is Permaculture?
  • The Permaculture Ethics
  • Permaculture principles
  • Designing with Permaculture
  • Zones and sectors – Design tools
  • The tale of two apples : An Input-Output analysis and more…

We would like to be as in inclusive as possible and enable as many people fair access to the course as we can, therefore prices will be offered on a sliding scale based on circumstances.

Prices as follows:

  • Unwaged - £40
  • Waged - £100
  • Good Wage/Organisations - £150

The course will run from 9.30am till 4.30pm on both days, with a lunch break included. Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided. Please bring your own lunch, and if you would like you can bring food to share.
