Plant Based Art and Seed Bomb Making
Come and make some natural plant art with Lucy down at Lochhead Gardens. Create your own beautiful prints using local plants and mallets! This is a free event, sponsored by the Feel Good Festival.

Hapa Zome is the Japanese art of printing using plant dye. You'll collect plants from the gardens, lay them out in your own unique designs, and - here's the fun part - hammer them really hard with mallets to imprint the shape and colour of the plant on to fabric. You'll then create framed prints of them to take home.
You will also create your very own seed bombs to bring life and colour to forgotten areas! You'll make seed bombs using soil, clay and native Scottish flower seed to take away and throw in areas which need a little livening up. You can throw yours in a bare area of your garden, or on to vacant or derelict land - the idea is you can throw them in to areas you might not be able to access otherwise. Let's bring a little colour to the world!
