About the event
Using a mix of theory, connections to life experience, and practical exercises, Master Tan takes us a little way through the art of meditation as practised by Master Dhammaga (a Buddhist monk in Kanchanaburi, Thailand, and Master Tan’s Master).
Master Tan will explore how this form of meditation can help those who practise meditation to activate their own healing ability. This ability can help us deal with mental and physical overload as well as some physical symptoms.
This event can be booked and attended in isolation, but there is are workshops on the day (Stillness in Movement 1 - The Downside to Meditation & Stillness in Movement 2 - In Action!, both May 16th) which would provide a good foundation for this workshop.

About Master Tan, a Traditional Thai Massage healer and teacher:
Master Tan is a traditional Thai massage healer and teacher based in Germany, with many years of experience, and he wishes to share his compassion in Thai massage and Buddhist practice. He has taught various aspects of Thai massage healing and mindfulness and mediation in many countries in Europe.
His first visit to Scotland was in 2013 (Kilbirnie/Edinburgh) and he came again in 2017 (Beith Trust, Geilsland, Beith) and he travelled to Lochwinnoch in 2022 to deliver sold-out mediation workshops as part of last year's Feel Good Festival. All workshops were organised in partnership with Moonie, Thamma Thai Wellness, Lochwinnoch.
Tan and his Team entered the World Massage Championship 2023 - International Massage Association where Tan won first place across the multidisciplne competition, with many of his pupils also scooping up prizes and places in various categories.
Tan, along with other members of Thamma's incredible network and Tan's Massage Academy, who are travelling from across Europe, can be met at our Wellbeing Fair where they will be offering free Thai Massage Taster Treatments. We're so excited to have them involved in this year's festival.
