About the event
This evening walk for women will be led by female staff and volunteers who will share their knowledge and enthusiasm for nature. You will be led around the reserve as a group, finishing up in our visitor centre where you will have some time to make use of our scopes and enjoy a hot beverage and biscuits as part of the fee.Â
This event is open to anybody who identifies as a woman. We also welcome non binary people who feel comfortable in a women's only space to this event. Â Â Â This walk is created and led by women, for women*, highlighting the importance of making women feel safe in the countryside at times when they might feel otherwise.Â
At our Lochwinnoch reserves we feel that everyone should feel confident in nature. Â Why is this walk only available to women? We have a wide variety of walks throughout the year that are available to everyone.Â
This walk is put together for those women who wish to share their experiences with like-minded women. A full accessibility statement is available on our website, please contact us if you wish to discuss access requirements.
If you have any unanswered questions, please email us at lochwinnoch@rspb.org.uk  *In this context, we use 'women' as a broad term which includes transgender women, gender queer women, cisgender women, and non- binary people.  Online booking essential.  The walk will stick to reserve trails and public footpaths. Walks will vary in length depending on route taken and weather but should not exceed 2.5 miles. Â
People must come suitably attired for the weather and wearing appropriate footwear. Unsuitably attired people may not be permitted to go on the walk.
